Sean Murphy Ph.D., President & CEO, Director

Sean Murphy joined the InnerVision Medical Board in September 2008 and in June 2010 became the company’s President and CEO. Sean has had a long and successful career developing and commercializing medical products in the areas of diagnostic ultrasound and medical robotics, stemming back to 1992 when he joined Acuson Corporation, the global leader in medical diagnostic ultrasound. From 1992 to 2000 Sean worked for Acuson and served as Director of Engineering from 1996 to 2000. From 2001 to 2005 Sean served as Vice President Engineering of Siemens Medical Solutions, Ultrasound Division (previously Acuson). In 2005 he joined Hansen Medical, the leader in flexible robotics for medical applications, progressing from Senior Vice President of Engineering to Senior Vice President of Operations. In 2009 he left Hansen to join a very promising startup, Restoration Robotics Inc., a company using image-guided robotic technology to perform hair restoration, and then in June 2010 Sean transitioned from InnerVision Medical board member to President and CEO. Sean holds a B.S. and a Ph.D. from the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland.

Tim J. Davies, Founder and Chief Science Officer, Director

Tim Davies founded InnerVision in mid-2002 and has led the scientific innovation of InnerVision’s proprietary technology since its inception. Over the past 20 years Tim has been involved in the design and creation of state-of-the-art sonar technology and the many applications of that science. Tim has held senior positions in advanced sonar R&D for applications in the sub-sea and defense sectors, with Lockheed Missile and Aerospace, Royal Ordinance UK PLC; and for a short period of time in the early 1990s, Tim applied his acoustic expertise in the development of medical imaging (that endeavor was truncated, as the cost of super computing was too expensive for commercial viability). He holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Calgary with majors in Applied Mathematics and Non-Linear Dynamic Systems. Tim is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the Society of Molecular Imaging, and the Association of Ultrasound and Medicine.

Richard Evans, Founder and Principle Systems Architect

Richard Evans co-founded InnerVision in mid-2002 and has over 25 years experience in engineering, microprocessor and computer design, graphics, and overall systems design. He has held senior engineering positions at such companies as Sperry Gyroscope and Westinghouse Signals. Richard is responsible for the design and manufacture of the Company’s imaging system, including the super-computer processor. He has special expertise in the design and construction of systems which utilize FPGAs, advanced parallel processing, and advanced graphics techniques. Richard holds a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Physics from the University of Manchester and is a member of the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE).

Bhaskar Ramamurthy Ph.D, Vice President of Engineering

Bhaskar Ramamurthy, previously Sr. Director, Program Management at Hansen Medical, joined InnerVision in April 2009 as VP Engineering. Bhaskar has over 15 years of experience in the medical device industry, including Director of R&D at Siemens Medical and Fellow at Acuson Corporation. He has broad experience in program management, development and deployment of medical devices, ultrasound physics principles, ultrasound system design, and image optimization. Dr. Ramamurthy received his Ph.D. from Duke University.

Lorraine Myers MBA CA, Chief Financial Officer

Lorraine Myers joined the InnerVision management team in December 2011. She fulfills the role of a senior financial manager for several Alberta companies in addition to InnerVision.

In July 2010 she completed a two-year contract position as Chief Financial Officer of VGS Seismic Canada Inc., a seismic library company listed on the TSX-V. With the Chief Executive Officer and a Special Committee of the Board, she undertook a review of strategic alternatives culminating in an arrangement under the Canada Business Corporations Act and the privatization of the Company. From 1995 to 2007 she served as Vice-President Finance and Chief Financial Officer of Dyno Nobel Canada Inc. and its predecessor company, Western Explosives Ltd., a national manufacturer and distributor of explosives, grossing over $200 million in revenue in 2006. Prior to joining Western Explosives Ltd. Ms. Myers was a partner with Meyers Norris Penny and Co., Chartered Accountants, and predecessor firms for 16 years and she served as Calgary Office Managing Partner for a number of years. She began her career with Deloitte (Touche Ross).

Ms. Myers also served on the Board of Directors of Southern Alberta Shock Trauma Air Rescue society during its formative years, and was instrumental in developing the financial management, reporting and budgeting systems.

Lorraine Myers holds an MBA from the University of British Columbia, a B.Comm from the University of Saskatchewan and is a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and the Institutes of Chartered Accountants of Alberta and Saskatchewan.
